Bringing your kids on vacation can sometimes be stressful. Where should you go? What should you do? You want to give your kids the time of their lives, but you also want to keep them safe. The choices are endless. Ocean City has so much more than just the beach. If you need a break from sandy feet, why not visit one of the local amusement parks?

Baja Amusements

There is a ton to do at Baja, including bumper boats and rides specifically geared toward the kids. Your kids will love getting behind the wheel of their very own go-kart. And those 5–7 years of age have their very own Rookie Track to practice their behind the wheel skills. Read more here.

Your kids will love this Wild West themed amusement park. The High Ropes Adventure Park has a Yellow Course that kids 7 and up can participate in. And the waterpark has a shallow pool with kid-friendly mini-slides, fountains and sprayers. Read more here.

 

Grand Prix Amusements

This amusement park specialized in go-karts. Take your kids for a spin on one of the family-friendly tracks. Kids eight and up can drive themselves! If they’re littler, there are double-seater karts, where passengers ride for free! There is also a Kiddie Track for children 5–7 year of age to try driving by themselves. There’s also a moonbounce, a ball crawl and more attractions your kids will love.

 

Jolly Roger Amusement Parks

This is actually a collection of six parks. Most are free to enter, and you just pay for each ride. This allows you to stick to the few family friendly rides in each park. The water park does have a cover charge but at three-and-a-half feet tall, a child can ride all but one of the park’s rides. Read more here.

 

Trimper’s Rides and Amusement Park

Many Ocean City visitors say that Trimper’s is the best place in town for small children. The website clearly distinguishes rides as Kiddie, Family, or Thrill and also provides the minimum height for each ride so you can plan your day in advance. Read more here.
